Temporary Insanity is the prerequisite to the Illuminati instakill Illumination. At high levels it acts as a minor version of Astral insanity, sometimes rejecting commands.
Sipping lucidityslush will cure both a mental affliction and some insanity. There is a 'free focus' mechanic with insanity which can be done with SIP LUCIDITYSLUSH TEMPINSANITY. This just cures insanity at full strength but does not have a focus cost.
