If the crows nest has enough carrion in it, you can lure a dark spirit that is hungry for life to form merge with the rotting flesh and form an egg. If you are killed anywhere on the prime material plane, the spirit will call you back to your nest and form a new body. At this point, the dark spirit will become a part of you. If you are attacked, there is a chance that the dark spirit will try to defend its new flesh. The more damaged you are, the greater the likelihood is that the dark spirit will come to the body's defense. Alternatively, you can release the spirit into your flesh early.
You may also aid others as well as yourself in another type of rebirth, able to fashion black eggs.
